Bike Routes - Love Is An Action
We signed Bike Routes! The New Jersey based indie/emo project of songwriter David Osterhout released Love Is An Action, their first LP in September 2022 and we are so excited to bring it to vinyl while the band works on new music. This is a record brimming with mixed emotions, where nonstop infectious hooks disguise themes of heartbreak, anxiety, loss, acceptance, and growth. Flashes of different influences are evident, from the singalong indie rock/pop of the 2000s to the hyper-specific lyricism of last decade's pop punk and emo. The band never stays in any one lane for too long, showing great variety in their songwriting. All the while rooted in Osterhout's acoustic guitar strumming, which keeps these songs feeling personal, homespun, and heartfelt.
